“And he will turn
The hearts of the fathers to the children,
And the hearts of the children to their fathers,
Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
— Malachi 4:6
THE ISSUE
The most overlooked, underdeveloped, and misunderstood parenting relationship is the father-daughter relationship. It brings great joy when intact and great sorrow when there is a daddy disconnect.
A father gives his daughter the confidence she needs in life to prepare her to deal with the opposite sex relationships and marriage. There is no way around this.
THE BOOK
Game Over tackles the dynamics of a healthy father-daughter relationship, as well as the unhealthy characteristics. You will be drawn to laughter, critical thinking, and possibly long overdue tears as you examine deeply how the father-daughter relationship is the kickoff to every relationship a woman will have with men.
Throughout this book, Willie Richardson, Jr. laces the scripture of the Bible to describe the effective and ineffective fathering techniques employed by fathers today. He uses bold language to grab the attention of fathers and grip the hearts of daughters. Richardson says, “It’s time-out for dads kneeling on the sidelines, while their daughters are being blitzed in the game of relationships by opportunistic men.”
THE PLAN
The game plan in Game Over will speak volumes to women and the men who love them. This book is a solution to the pain women continue to experience concerning relationships and marriage. You will learn how to rediscover yourself and respect the rules to the game of love. Willie Richardson, Jr.’s no nonsense approach will leave you taking deep breaths, as the pressure of the game of relationships turns up and the last few seconds of the game winds down. His practical advice will give daughters hope for healthy love and provide fathers with the necessary tools to coach their girls to the end zone of holy matrimony.
I’m Just Junior
The son of a devout deacon, was born and raised in the grit and grind southern city of Memphis, Tennessee, as the only boy of three sisters. Violence, gangs, and drugs were prevalent in his hometown, but his father was a force in his life and protected his only son as his mother encouraged him to be his best. He was raised in a close knit home in which his parents have been married for 46 years. Willie achieved academic honors, played sports, and served his community in service as an Eagle Scout.
It wasn’t until after high school where he began to take a turn. Willie began to indulge in sexual relationships. As a college freshman, he pledged a fraternity and was now exposed to more women than before. Sex, parties, and popularity consumed him. In 1999, he remembers asking God to allow him to speak to one million women. He had noticed that women were throwing themselves at men on campus and wanted to reach out to them. He was reminded, even in his own sexual encounters with women, that he wasn’t raised like this. Within the next few years, Willie would have an encounter he’d never forget.
I asked God to allow me to speak to one million women...
By the fall of 2004, he’d had enough of the world as God, through Jesus Christ, gripped his heart and changed his life completely. He would never be the same again. During this time, he pursued his wife; the woman he always cared for deeply throughout college. By the following winter they were engaged and in the summer of 2006 he married his destiny; Destiny.
Over the course of 10 years, Willie would teach Abstinence Education in public and private schools in Chattanooga, Tennessee, mentor and train dads as a Fathering Coordinator, and speak at youth, marriage, family, and relationship conferences. He traveled to Cameroon, Africa, to teach HIV awareness in churches and villages with the message of the Gospel and Abstinence education. This experience shaped his global perspective of the world and helped form his newfound biblical worldview.
His first self published book, Game Over: A Father Unfolds the Untold Game of Love, Sex, & Marriage, stems from the vision God gave him nearly 20 years ago to speak to women concerning relationships. His passion for fatherhood and his desire to see women have fruitful relationships and marriages compelled him to writing this book. He says, “I got angry! I’ve seen the tears of too many daughters and I had to not just say something, but do something. I’m called to break the chains of bondage by revolutionizing the relationship game through God’s Word.” As a follower of Christ, Willie believes that’s the only way to get to the bottom of the problems facing women concerning relationships is through the inspired Word of God.
Willie and Destiny have three children; Cara his “favorite daughter”, Willie III, and David Daniel. They have been married for 10 years of holy matrimony.

Willie Richardson, Jr. is indeed an author who “practices what he preaches” by serving as a devoted and loving husband to my daughter, Destiny, as they recently just celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary. He is a faithful coach for his three children from their birth in the delivery room to his current efforts coaching them in basketball and on the t-ball field. More importantly, he plans the quality time to teach them about the word of God as he prays with them and prays for them each day.
Willie has dedicated himself not only to his own family, but to many young and not so young people advising them in critical life decisions. He has a wealth of wisdom and any revelations that he shares are always based on the scriptures in the Holy Bible.
“Long overdue and just what we needed!” Game Over is an eye-opening playbook that empowers men and women alike to take a hard look in the mirror and allow God to work in your lives.
